Beautiful, Expensive Headbands

One of the links on my favorite blog (greenweddingshoes.com) was for some fantastic wedding headbands. The site is Untamed Petals, but they're a bit pricy!
Poppy - $135
Alex - $185
Castels - $185
Michelle - $85

And others from AimeNoelleDesigns on Etsy.com ...
Iris - $40
Caitiline - $39

It will all depend on the veil I choose, but there are a lot of great options. Let me know what you think!

The Flowers ...

I spent some time going through different flowers that I liked. To make things easier, I just looked at flowers in season during the summer, instead of having to pay higher costs later. Here's what I came up with.
Bouquet: cymbidium orchids, mini cymbidium orchids, calla lilies, jade roses, scented geranium leaves, branches, and succulents.
Ranunculus - I absolutely love these
Dark purple Hydrangeas
Lisianthus
Amaryallis
Dianthus caryophyllus
Bouquet of more Ranunculus
Cala Lilies and Lilly leaves

I still haven't chosen a florist yet. I want to check out Perfect Petals in Dundee, as I heard they did a fabulous wedding at a great cost in December. I also still have Golden Pear flowers still on my mind. It will all come down to budget costs!

Let them eat (cup)cake?

Just some cakes I like. I posted the cake companies I was looking at, but here are some of the designs I've found and liked.
So, if you know me, I love cupcakes. I've found a couple cute ideas and I actually found cupcake liners for a great deal in my wedding colors. They say "Let's Celebrate" on the bottom even!
Now, this cake got me thinking ... what about buttons? What if all of these flowers were different fondant buttons. Might be cute ...
[Disclaimer: KRIS ... I'm really trying to do a new post everyday. Not a lot of writing, but I'm trying!]

Save The Dates & Invites

As you might have already read, I love antique keys! I found this fantastic idea on the ruffled blog and I would love to incorporate this style throughout all the paper products in our wedding. A larger part of my budget will be all the paper products.

This is the webpage: http://ruffledblog.com/handmade-vintage-key-save-the-dates/

And I want it all!

Save the Dates
Invitations
(Response Cards)
(Directions & Accommodations)
(Registry Card)
(Additional Information Card)
Wedding Programs
Paper Cones for Petals
Place Cards
Table Signs
Menus
Food Description Signs
Water Bottle Labels
Thank You Cards

I want everything to match! I feel like it will be a big part of the decor of the wedding and visually pleasing. I'm highly considering Red Pearl Designs, which I mentioned before, but it will come down to cost.
I found this key for $1.05 at www.kennedyhardware.com. The only problem I foresee is shipping costs with the weight and what type of envelopes we would use.

P.S. Might be adding that Tiffany Blue color into our Plum Purple and Pale Green :]

{Vintage Elegance}

I finally feel close to a theme for our wedding. I stumbled upon two new blogs today, Ruffled and The Pretty Blog. I keep throwing around words like:
Antique
Vintage
Rustic
Elegant
Handmade
Whimsical
Classic
Romantic
Down-To-Earth
Hopefully I'll have it down in the next two weeks. I'm going to create an idea board with all my ideas so I can visually stay on track. But it all started with this ...
The one thing that encompassed all my ideas was this key. It is a wedding favor, gorgeous in appearance and the end is a bottle opener. Classy and handy? Maybe? I like it.
I am obsessed with these thank you cards. I love the lace design around the top and the ribbon detail. Might be a great paper theme ..
I love these wine glass lampshades. I could most likely make them very easily.
One of the first things Tony and I did around Christmas time was do a puzzle together. I think it's going to be a yearly tradition for our new family. I love the puzzle pieces in the jar, but I also love the fun photo additions. We want to do a photo booth and polaroids that will be inserted in our guestbook.
Chalkboards are going to play largely into our wedding. I'm hoping to find smaller framed boards for table numbers and many different directions.
To keep with a vintage or antique theme, I want to do mason jars or old lemonade jars (maybe some white milk jars?) for either drinks or centerpieces.
I love the small jars strung together in the center left. Gives it a lacy background with baby's breath and other small white flowers.
I love the jar in the middle!
Gorgeous flowers. Very lost in that section so far, but that will all come with time.

Thanks for those of you following. I've already had wonderful feedback and I can't wait to share our special day with many of you. Blessings!

Bridesmaid Dresses

The Jenners, Serena, my fiance and I went on a short wedding trip on Friday. We tried to stop by The Aerie but they were having an all day event. We at least got to see the outside and the tent. We also stopped at the Clackamas Mall and looked at different department store dresses. While we were there, I turned in my ring to Kay. I lost a small diamond a week ago, it takes 2 weeks to fix. I have a fake one until then.

Anyways, we ended up close to a David's Bridal. I hadn't thought of my friends trying any on for months, but I had one in mind. Stacie got to try it on with the store's baby bump. Little lumpy but was kinda helpful.
Serena and Stacie + lumpy baby (they would be in dark purple). Super flattering on everyone!
My maid of honor would have a sash around the middle. It would be the opposite of the shown: purple dress, green sash. Oh, and it had very fun pockets :]

I love this dress, but it's $140!!! They had an online $60 sale for the exact color I wanted, but it went off-sale over the weekend. Also, this dress is being used in many weddings. One of my bridesmaids already purchased it for her cousin's wedding this summer. She would have to buy the same one. My friend Kirstin is also wearing the green in a wedding this summer. I'm hoping to find the same style at JC Penny's or Macy's for around $50.

The search continues ...
